Rebecca was a genealogist. I wanted to honor her by doing something anyone studying family history would appreciate. If everyone used not only their first and last name, but also the middle name, it certainly would make family research easier. Also, if you used actual date of birth to actual date of death, not just year to year, that would make research easier. Additionally, by having the date of marriage and the children's names, that too would help with research. V
The chronology of our relationship is represented in the symbols on the tombstone. It goes as follows: GOD brought us through FRIENDSHIP to MARRIAGE to CHILDREN. Our relationship is surrounded by an EVERLASTING LOVE.
A graphic of Rebecca's book, "CHARLOTTE AVERY ON ISLE ROYALE" \/
As you walk around the corner from Rebecca's name, you'll find more representation of her, as well as my side. I felt compelled to continue more of a representation - in a separate fashion. This shows her passions as well as mine. The middle section is the portion that conveys a verse of how God lead us in our various paths, as well as having a 'photo blast' of our wedding photo. We absolutely loved being married, but we didn't give up our individuality, goals and desires for our lives as individuals, and how that was actually enhanced by having each of us encourage each other in our individual pursuits. It worked well for us!

The verse represents our acknowleding God and how He directed us in our various paths. \/
I've played guitar since the age of 12, performed for a period of time, recorded with many individuals, and have been privileged to express myself musically. \/
/\ This is a sketch I created showing Rebecca's love for the outdoors, camping, and hiking. A photo of her is off in the sky.
/\ This is an additional sketch I created to show my love of art. Since childhood I've created sketches; this being my own hand drawing a bird.
/\ Wayne Gregory of GregoryPacks.com, coined a phrase that best represents how both Rebecca and I attempted to live our lives: "DO WHAT YOU DREAM". Do more than think about it, actually DO what you dream. Don't wait for tomorrow - DO IT NOW!
